Nir-Or's Keyboard Display Unit (KDU) and Operating Display Unit (ODU) are smart graphic terminals for controlling, displaying and managing all types of avionic systems. They are suitable for a wide array of helicopter and fixed-wing applications and can be used as back-up video displays or primary/secondary flight instrument displays. The KDU/ODU are designed and manufactured to specific customer requirements, are adaptable to various communication and video sources and standards, and can be fitted in standard tzuz-mount consoles. A smart operating system enables display of any selected fonts, icons, pictures and pre-stored bit maps. The KDU/ODU features a 3"x4" Color Active Matrix LCD (320x234 resolution -1/4 VGA) with high brightness and contrast and wide viewing angles. Dual-mode backlight provides excellentreadability in direct sunlight and full compatibility with Night Vision Goggles. The KDU is equipped with a full alphanumeric keyboard, 12 function (hard) keys and 8 programmable (soft) keys. The ODU features just 6 function (hard) keys and 8 programmable (soft) keys for pilot and display interface. All keys can be customized to suit any application required. The KDU and ODU are fully interchangeable.
