Nir-Or's family of MFCD Multi Function Color Displays suit a broad range of helicopter and fixed-wing applications. Nir-Or’s family of Displays & Recorders combining an Active Matrix LCD with built in digital recorder, suits a broad range of airborne marine and ground applications. The Display & Recording Unit (DRU) is adaptable to various video, communication sources, and standards, and can be fitted into a variety of mechanical envelopes. The DRU offers Color Active Matrix LCD, with high resolution and high brightness and contrast combined with a digital recorder using a hard disk or flash disk for the recorded data. The DRU has two (2) VGA inputs and two (2) Composite video inputs that can be selected for display or recording, using the front panel keys. The unit enables simultaneous recording of one of the input signals and displaying another input. The digital recorder embedded in the unit enables a professional quality recording of a VGA or composite video with one audio channel and instant playback of the recorded channel. The recorded media can be debriefed on a standard PC equipped with a cassette adaptor and specific software provided by Nir-Or. As an option, the display enables simultaneous display of one input, composite or VGA or the recorded video windows, flexible size adjustment (up to full screen) and placement of video windows atop another video input channel.
